If that is so then the cynic in me says that perhaps the design team was amalgamated and the Airstream boys added the 80mm to keep the UK market solely for Airstreams

Even though I can not afford it, I think that it is superb! Never intended for the UK market, which is insignificant for vans of this size, but suited to the German/ Continental market and taste.
Far better looking than Airstream as well.

Our friend Mr Potts is on the road again with his 820. He says on the German Facebook page that the Touareg tows it as though it is an Eriba Touring.

But you can’t tow it!
It has to be delivered to site, defeats the object doesn’t it. It’s a static (basically) and for that money you could get a much bigger static van, not that I want to keep going back to the same place.
Our Eribas may be a bit bijou but they’re Tourings and that’s what I want to do, tour 😁

I've said it before, but at the sort of price these big vans are I'd expect something with a letter box and a postal address.

The 2022 brochure is out and oh what a laugh. Just look at page 14 of the price list and you will see the "Only available as static caravan" warning. You can still add £6K plus for movers, axle upgrade and skid control when towing though to your basic £71K starting price.

That's interesting as the owner of Red Lion Caravans has posted on the FB group about their coming soon 820 and said
