unbelievable, its bad enough to have to go through the whole op event again ,but to say no beds makes you wonder if another hospital could take on your case

have you suggested taking eriba to provide a bed for your self to speed up the op date?

The original surgeon at Southampton Gen would take us back if he had beds available, but no chance and Winchester is so handy for Carole and the others, plus me when I get back on my feet.
The Eriba idea would suit us, but finding a space for it, getting the nurses, cleaners, carers, tea ladies never mind the doctors and consultants into it would create problems they have never and not liekly to take on.
Wonder how long an EHU they have.

Good news today, got a phone call from the surgeon's secretary that I will be under the knife on Nov 29th - a Saturday. My main concern after that is how long to recover, weight bearing etc.

Best of luck from us two, hope it all goes well and we are sure you will be "all systems go" soon after. You will need to take the cover off and take her out of hibernation before you know it

Thanks Taffy, the daft thing is, I haven't had any pain, just the blooming boot, crutches, bad temper, impatience and frustration for the last 8 weeks or so.

I can do all that and more without a bad leg

Just got back from our 6 week trip. So sorry to hear your bad news Derek. Hope the op goes well for you and recovery doesn't take too long. Had a letter waiting on our return, daughter has her knee restructuring surgery on her 22nd birthday. She's not too thrilled either. Will be thinking of you on the 29th. Good luck.
Julie.
