Its a bit dark out there under heavy cloud and rain But they looked ok
The only alternatives I could come up with were buying all new ones (if you could find them) or getting them all re chromed nearest place for that is about 40 miles away.

An awning tip, how many times do we buy a second hand van that comes with an awning but no instructions? or even buy a brand new awning that comes with no or minimal instructions ......................... sometimes not even in English (been there done that) .................. more than once
So there you are on a site or even in your garden, ........... first erect .......... err um attempt at getting it up
Lots of swearing and some time later you finally figure it out, if you still have a partner (been there..............) you did well
So far so good how to make it easier the next time ????
Well one of the hardest bits is which pole fits into which other poles?
So before you take it down again mark the poles with different coloured electrical insulation tapes to show which poles fit where,
Some caravan shops sell packs of different coloured tapes for this purpose, if not the nearest electrical shop or car repair shops will sell them.
Mark poles either side of the joins with the same colours then next time you know how they re-fit together.

Draw a plan of the poles if needed and mark the colours on it .............. then at least you have 1\2 of it covered photo's of the rest should sort things out.

Then somehow remember not to put the awning itself onto the poles inside out (been there, done that).

Good tip with respect to drawing a plan of the poles assuming one doesn't come provided but why the unnecessary expense with the tape? My method is to use one of those 'Permanent Marker Pens' and write the number of the pole, pole end or any other marking that suits you best onto the male end of the pole repeating the same on the inside surface of the female end. Once mated the marking on the poles will not be noticeable.

A little tip to keep unwanted guests from climbing up your waste pipe when the Eriba is not in use, cut a piece of ladies nylon stocking and place over the end of the waste pipe and then fit the end piece back on again to secure it. this will stop creepy crawlies and mice going up and at the same time allow air to circulate and stop the drain smelling..

I remember someone at last years meet had made something to fit the bin from under the sink to the table rail outside.
So being bored and having 2 very small bits of table rail left over after making new tables I had a look at the bin and came up with this.

Painted it white to tidy it up a bit.

And tried it on the Triton.

Three bits of scrap wood 2 bits of scrap table rail 7 screws and some left over radiator paint ...... total cost ...nothing

If like me you save plastic supermarket bags to use in the bin, to store them just screw them up and poke them up the middle of the cardboard tubes in the middle of kitchen rolls.

If you have an older awning with those plastic 'lever' type clamps for adjusting lengths, be sure to pack a Jubilee clip or two that fits round the metal tubing, then, if the plastic handle breaks, you can use a clip [with a screw driver] to keep things up tight until you can get a replacement, that is, if a replacement is available. Also, if you rely on the little press down 'spring nobbles' to hold a telescopic tube at a certain length, a clip will stand in for one that rusts away or drops out.

Do you run out of hands putting your awning or sunshade up? Guy rope in one hand peg in the other .............. now where did I put the hammer?
One of these from a hardware store (about 8 quid) and slip it on your belt and your hammer need never leave your side.
