So, here we are very nearly at Bournemouth. The English roads are so terrible nowadays with many traffic hold ups. As you know we set out in 1936.

Hope you weren't too worried. Just off to find a campsite that has spaces now.

Good to see a Lambretta on the second one BUT where are all the stylish & pretty mod girls in their long leather coats?

Chrome carriers, fly screens and crash bars were all very decorative but far better was your own version of a young Mary Quant or Twiggy looking cool lounging against you backrest.....................................

Perhaps my aging memory is becoming more rose tinted.....................................................!

I came across this today and just had to share it. I love the fact that the French will refurb a classic building and bring it back to life rather than just let it rot or knock it down.

It would appear that this Ozo Station in La Coteau France, is a "must do" destination for all classic car folk.
It was rescued and restored by an army of fans. It's near Lyon.

Some of the vans in the 1940s seem to have wooden outside loos - very posh

Looks more like a prison camp from the ground Mike.

It looked pretty 'orrible in the 1940s too. Amazed at how many caravans there were even then. Small statics ready for the Miner's fortnight every year I suspect.

Glad I'm too young for that beach - but bet photos of Blackpool beach in the 1960s (when my Mam & dad took me) would look similar
