Oh I love these old photos.

I think Minehead has to be confirmed as I have managed to get this Google Maps image. Only been to Minehead a few times but I almost instantly recognised that hillside.

We were at the C & CC site at Minehead in a tent the night Boscastle was washed away. Ours was one of the few tents left standing. I remember a lady in the toilet block in the morning, she said " the kids cried all night, the dog threw up, the tents in the bin and I'm going home, sod camping". Sure it's a lovely place but we've never been back.

Missed my chance to fly on this one! In late eighties was booked Dover to Calais return outward journey was by high speed catamaran and return was to be on Hovercraft. Unfortunately there was a bad storm prior to return trip and all hovercraft schedules were suspended. Eventually returned about 6 hours late by Catamaran which was slow speed and very bumpy !
