So kind. She was making a lovely lemon curd cake as I was finishing, with a healthy addition of some fresh rasberries. A slice of which went down a treat after what I said would be a 5 mile cycle ride turned out to be over 7 miles. Never mind, I had a nice sit down.

No problem, I'd have one made by lunchtime.
No woodwork here over the last week or so as I've been decorating, but plan on making a pair of footstools for the chairs next week.

I got bored with doing the decorating so I've been back at the woodwork. I've made the foot stools to match the chairs, so I can now sit out and relax in the garden, instead of abroad in a couple of weeks time.

Well spotted Roger, if turned upside down they would do that job, but a bit expensive on the hardwood.

I've been busy again.
- After filling the water system with steralising solution yesterday I drained it down and flushed the system
- Fixed tyre/wheel savers to the garage floor
- Fitted new guy rope toggles I made ages ago to my Sunncamp Swift awning
- Washed and Bobby Dazzled the van
- Repaired a [another] crack in the drawbar fairing
- Washed the garage door down
I celebrated things going well with some nice crusty bread and cheese at lunchtime, and I'm now off for a relaxing bike ride before sitting infront of the TV with some alcohol, that will be after a good home made curry.
Is anybody else finding they are having problems understanding why the bathroom scales seem a bit out?

For most of the lock down we've been trying to get our unruly garden under control.
As we live on the edge of a forest we should really spend several hours a week stopping it from becoming a jungle.
Before retirement and Eriba we were able to manage it but since our long Spring breaks away with the Eriba, every year we have to work extra long to try and get it back into some order, weather permitting.
It's been a losing battle but with the luxury of all this good weather during lock down we've tried to get stuck in. Unfortunately however, we are no longer fit enought to spend long hours on it.
Over the weeks we have made inroads but are constantly having to worry about how we clear the debris. It would seem that country folk have nothing better to do than to complain about an occassional bonfire'.
Anyway, inspired by the tree felling of last weekend we decided to tidy our shed and rediscover some of our garden power tools. A quick sharpen of the chain saw and today I ventured into the side hedge which was about 15feet tall and a mixture of plants and brambles.
5 hours later and completely knackered, we can now see our beloved Eriba from the upstairs bedrooms and balcony of our house.

G n' T to celebrate. (still knackered though and probably will be for the rest of the week)
