Not cruel at all. He's a silly bu**er. Just think of all those happy campers and caravanners who were held up while waiting for him to be extracted. 
I've often said they're a danger to everyone within 500 yards of them. We now not only look for pitches with a degree of sunshine or shade, level and grassy, near the facilities, quiet and private, but also chumpervan proof.
And that's an ABRIDGED version of my feelings

One of our Facebook Members, Dawn Hine, is devastated as yesterday while travelling on the M42, a van smacked the rear side of her Eriba with a wing mirror. The van didn't stop but was driven on with side window smashed and wing mirror hanging by a thread.
