It may be worth checking your passport for post brexit no deal. As there are caveats on the expiry date.

If we have no deal, the maximum stay will be 90 days which is annoying as we have booked a 93 day return .crossing

So today, another 45 minute drive into Swansea to organise 2qty IDP 1968s. The Post Office requires your Passport, your driving licence (both parts) and a passport photo. £5.50 each. If you're thinking of Spain as well then you'll also need IDP1949s.
It takes a good 15 minutes for the counter staff to get the folding booklet filled in and, at the moment, they are inundated.

Eribanut,
Is it a daft suggestion to say that you could get a really cheap Ryanair flight to England and back to break up the 93 days?
Don't know as we are only going to be away for 55 days ! Getting your nuts and nauts confused

Bunny got hers on Tuesday, we're lucky to have 5 offices in the Swindon area that do them, we managed to walk into an empty PO, took 15 min for the 2.
All we have to do now is get the electrics repaired on the van then decide where to go.

Being an optimist, I'm waiting to see what happens as we are not away until mid May. Actually I'm just mean and don't want to fork out for the photos and permits unless I have to.
The nearest issuing post office for us is about 10 miles away and they have everything at hand to issue on the spot so I'm not worrying.

There just wasn't enough time for us between March 30th and the date we leave so we couldn't take the risk.
I imagine the Green Card will be a bigger problem for you Colin. We ordered ours a few days ago when we renewed our car insurance but we have no idea how long it'll take to come. I'll let you know.

Green Card situation will be interesting. We have always gone with an insurer who includes relevant wording on the reverse of the policy and as such has not needed to issue a Green Card. I thought at present the French authorities were saying a Green Card was a must have but UK insurance companies were saying they would not provide them if policy included wording such as ours, so watch this space.
