Sometimes reality is funnier than a joke.

I had to laugh this morning when reading of the presentation of a Duke of Edinburgh rose to the Queen by the president of the RHS .... Keith Weed.
We occasionally see Sara Blizzard presenting our local weather, and a recent Canal and River Trust meeting was attended by the local area manager, Lee King.

I think these people and the many others with job appropriate names should form a club.

Many years ago I made badges for companies. I remember "Joe England, UK Sales Manager" and the unfortunate Road Safety Officer called "Yvonne Mycock".

I used to do a lot of work for an electronic company which did measurement equipment...the boss was called Wayne Kerr and he named his company by the same name

I remember using a Wayne Kerr bridge for measuring something, probably resistance of a cable for fault location, at work in the dim and distant past.
Wayne Kerr was not the name of the founder however, the company was founded by two ex-BBC engineers, neither of whom were named Wayne or Kerr. Reportedly they used the names of famous actors of the day, Naunton Wayne and Deborah Kerr, to name the company.

I've known several of them, but why would parent's name a child Richard when their surname is Head?

At a school I worked at we had a trainee science teacher called Miss Shagwell...

my neighbours have two young children, a boy and a girl. They are named Sam and Ella....
